BCBS NCF - Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation

BCBS NCF - Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation has made the move from funder to investor.....with the help of The Rensselaerville Institute. TRI first assisted the foundation to gain real clarity around the results it wanted to accomplish in fulfillment of its mission (improve the health and well-being of North Carolinians). With that clarity at the forefront, TRI has continued to assist by delivering New Grantee Workshops designed to help foundation grantees approach and manage their projects with an outcome framework....shifting their focus from activities to results.

The photos below are from the New Grantee Workshop in June 2009; the next one is scheduled for December.

Grantees reshape their projects in an outcome framework and create working outcome management plans at the session ...entering them on laptops right there at the workshop.

Workshop participant comment: "The day went by very fast....the work was very focused and required good energy. Our group could have worked another hour and would have liked a bit more time. There was a lot packed in! The hands on, one-to-one working with the experts was very helpful and built confidence! We are excited about the project, (and) the support and partnership with the BCBSNC Foundation!"
